Mission

Neuro-Grants Info is an information resource created by IBRO. Its aim is to facilitate neuroscientists' access to sources of support for research and researchers in different parts of the world where this information is not readily available. Its specific task is to collect useful information that is already posted electronically, organize it to maximize its usefulness and then list it on the IBRO web site. Neuro-Grants Info will also identify those programmes that facilitate the return of trainees to their country of origin once they have completed their studies abroad.

This proposed guide to internet sites from government and private sources of support for neuroscientists will include:

• International sources that provide funding opportunities that can be accessed by a broad range of investigators from different countries and regions
  
  
• International agencies that deal with specific fields of scientific or medical interest
  
  
• Organizations that support science in specific regions of the world
  
  
• National granting programmes
